Events

Below you'll see the bigger events that run every year. We enter as many as possible so you'll can see how busy we get! We try to organise events for all levels but some of the rows below are not for the faint-hearted! We will publish a separate full calendar of all rows which will include training and recreational rows. We hope you can join us on the water soon!

So what can we say about this one... it's a challenge! Run every two years, this race takes you 96 miles from Ireland to Wales. Yes, that's across the Irish Sea. And yes, it gets rough! And yes, lots of crews give up because of sea sickness. And yes, it takes a long time... 17 - 25 hours! But that's what makes it a challenge! The world's longest true rowing race. Fancy it?

The Carrow Cup

A 3.5km sprint through the centre of Norwich. This is one of the oldest rowing races in the country that has recently re-introduced traditional fixed seat racing as part of the days events. This is raced as a time trial, boats setting off about 2 minutes apart as there's not much room to pass! The boats and crews are handicapped according to boat speed and crew type, so anyone can win!
